Freeze drying dairy is nutritional than other dehydration method. Especially for baby milk powder production, freeze drying is highly recommended. Freeze dried dairy products are light weight, easy transport and no critical requirements to storage environment.

Dairy Freeze Drying Processes:

Frozen dairy products are placed in drying chamber, reduce chamber pressure and create vacuum environment. Gradually add heat to frozen products and cause sublimation: Frozen water in raw material will sublimate directly from solid to gas phase. Once all water removed, the freeze drying process is complete.

Lyophilized dairy products is low moisture and crispy, a tiny pressure on it can change to powder.
